Lindy Brodie Australian, Alyawarr, b. 1973

Lindy Brodie grew up in Alroy Downs, Barkly Tablelands, and spent her childhood drawing and painting. She started her career as an artist in Alice Springs before returning to Tennant Creek and joining the "Pink Palace" Julalikari Arts in 2002. In 2012, she became a founding member of the Tatukula Artists group at Barkly Regional Arts, alongside fellow artists Susannah Nelson (deceased), Ruth Dawson (deceased), and Gladys Anderson (deceased).

Through a series of very large works, Lindy illustrated the construction and usage of the Ghan Train, which links Darwin to Adelaide and stops near Tennant Creek. Additionally, she contributed to a significant exhibition about monsters at Tarnanthi, the Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art, in 2022. This collection was purchased by the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS).
