COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT : TJUKURLA: Artworks from the Bungalow
Based in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands of Western Australia, Tjukurla has close family ties to the neighbouring community of Kaltukatjara and supports artists from both communities. With strong ties to the Papunya art movement the significance of the artwork from these communities is highly recognised. The artist’s practice is focused on preserving and promoting the artwork and culture of the Ngaanyatjarra people; with the art centre operating as an Important source of expression, income, development and employment for the artist’s and their community.
Short St Gallery is excited to bring you this outstanding body of work from these incredibly talented artists including Bob Gibson, Katjarra Butler, Esther Giles, Nyarapayi Giles, Mrs T James and their contemporaries. We are offering free domestic shipping on purchases from Tjukurla sent rolled, until October 30 2022.
