Robin Jampijinpa Brown has painted the landscape of around Nyirripi the community where he lives with his extended family. The features in the landscape are the large gum trees, the sand dunes and the flat top hill that is Karku. Karku is a very important hill for Warlpiri people. A rich ochre mine is found at the base of the sheer scarp, Warlpiri people have access to this mine for generations, the ochre is used for body painting during ceremony and is also traded with other language groups around the area.
