This a collaborative work by the young women painting today at Mimili Maku Arts: Pauline Wangin, her daughter Emma Singer, Anita Pumani, Josina Pumani and Patricia Martin. Whilst each artist holds individual Tjukurpa for different places, they all have one storyline in common: the Mimili story of the Maku Tjukurpa (witchery grub dreaming).Working together on this special collaborative canvas was a way of coming together and connecting the dots of individual story-and family lines.
"We work together for a strong future, for Mimili Community and our families." (Pauline Wangin)"Nganampa ngura kunpu kanyintjaku tjukurpa wirutjara. Our Tjukurpa stands strong for our beautiful home." (Anita Pumani)
