I have been a carpenter for approx 50 years and my love of wood and other products of nature that inform my work. My boats and other objects begin with the raw products from local Palm trees and other items in nature and after many processes including rehydration and shaping to achieve the finished item I'm after. The work often involves many layers of resin and sanding back, adding colours etc during this process sometimes there can be 20 layers or more to the finished piece. The process is completed by high polishing to the finished object ready for display.
