This is Kalaya Tjukurpa (the creation story of the Emu man). At Kanpi rockhole there are the emu eggs sitting as white rocks. The father emu hid all his children in the bush. He told the kipara (bush turkey man) that he had deliberately dropped his kids and then eaten them. He persuaded the kipara to do the same. The kipara only had one son. Ngaltutjara (poor thing!) When the kipara saw the emu chicks running around he was really angry. The kipara was throwing rocks at the kalaya. Where he chased him along throwing rocks a creek was formed. The kalaya was pikatjara (sick). The country where he was lying down vomiting is marked by a clay pan.
