Kanta is a senior custodian who was born in Spinifex Country. The Minyma Tjuta (Seven Sisters) story is strongly present in lake country near Kathleen’s place and runs right across to the north west of the area. She has named Pirapi as a site where the women were gathered. At Unpun the Wati Kutjara (Two Python Men) story emerges and then ranges across the lands through Pukara and keeps going beyond the Spinifex border.
Kathleen also specifically notes the places Iltun, Kaarnka, Mulaya, Tjawa, Tjintilkara, Tjuntun, and Tjutaja all of which she “knows.”
