The main area here in Tjintilkara a place which holds the Seven Sisters Tjukurpa. The elder sister was injured by Nyiru who hit her in the leg. and she had to spend time at Unpunya recovering before they could travel on.
Kathleen paints many such water holes including Ilkurlka, Pirapi, Upi, Tjawanya, Karnka, Warurungka, Urnpun, Takari, Mulyaya, Talitjulpul, Mamatju and Wangalritja, an area collectively dense with Spinifex lore. Typically in Spinifex life, Tjukurpa and the everyday often converge bringing together the sacred and the secular.
