Lennard has painted the significant sites of Pur-Pur, Kuru Ala and Tjulkultjara. Pur-pur is a place belonging to the Wati Kutjara Tjukurpa, the two Serpent Men from Pukara and the two rock holes represent the father and the son. The other sites relate to Minyma Tjuta Tjukurpa (Seven Sisters Creation Line). This is a women’s creation narrative that follows a group of young women as they traverse the country evading the pursuit of a lustful older man (Nyiru) who possesses metamorphic powers. Palka Palka creek is a physical reminder that these beings not only existed but shaped the landscape as they moved through it. Lennard has depicted the salt lake close to Kuru Ala, a landscape made by the women as they followed a kuniya (carpet python) on their journey.
