Sophia has depicted Minyma Tjuta Tjukurpa (Seven Sisters Creation Story) from her country of Kuru Ala. This is a far reaching narrative that follows the journey of a group of young women who traverse the Spinifex Lands and beyond. They are always eluding the persistent pursuit of a lustful older man, named Nyiru. These are creation beings and they leave indelible physical reminders of their power within the landscape that they shaped. They also leave a moral narrative that is the framework of a religion that has been orally transferred for eons and which still guides Anangu on a daily basis. Sophia is the grand daughter of Lennard Walker, the senior custodian for Kuru Ala.
