In this painting I express mixed cultures and the healing of Indigenous people and our strengths. Our strengths and rights come from the land, elders and stories of our history. Because of our elders we can say who we are and where we come from which is our connection to our ancestors and continuation of our story. Our elders have been around long enough to see the difference between generation after generation, also different cultures mixing in. With the messy splatter technique I express the different cultures that live amongst each other. The mix of the paint represents the mis-communication between everyone. Sometimes things shouldn't be where it is but its our job is to give it a purpose to make a clear picture. The body language of the people in the painting are the ones that need to be reached out to. In every tribe, in every cultures there is a elder that is taking notice of everything that's around them. The boab tree stands strong, growing the same way down as it grows up as should our cultures.
