Rain has come. Clouds fill the sky. Their lustre changes the light. There is a hazy gleam in the air. Water covers the landscape. This is a special season, depicted in this work. The divisions in the white-painted background show the joined up cloud patterns in the rainy season sky, and also the pools and rivulets of flowing water on the desert soil. The pink hue is the sunshine seeping through the clouds, and reflected in the water lying on the dark, soaked ground. The black voids, by contrast, indicate sites of special power associated with the rain dreaming. Black, here, connotes sacred strength and solemnity. The greyish circles indicate the links between the different rain sites and the connections between the stories associated with each one.
