Janie is a highly talented and respected Australian contemporary artist known for her stunning paintings that depict stories of her country and ancestors. Janie primarily retells the creation story of her grandfather's country in Watarru, South Australia, and the path the Minyima Tjuta (many women) took as they travelled across country. Janie hails from Amata, a community in the APY Lands and her work not only brings recognition to herself but also honours the traditions and history of her people.
