I sat at the top of the hill, from the other side on my country at Rocky lookout. I had to drive up and over the hill to the left to get this good view. I painted this landscape as I was sitting looking at it, you can see the old highway there in the distance. Thinking back to the olden days when I used to drive the cattle along this old track to Broome. It was hard work, you would be droving for days up and down over the hills along the old road. Camping at night keeping an eye on the bullocks might be 900 or more making sure they didn't wander off. This was before they had the cattle trucks. The road is just a track now.
