These days were the beginning of Titjikala community - was our village on Maryvale Station then. We had a big mob of camels. My father was cameleer. We had no tap, no electricity, no nothing. Just the first tin sheds been built. Others just had humpies for long time. No power, only candles, when we had them. Cooking by the fire. Here, families all going to station store house to collect their rations. Everyone is carrying their flour bags they put their rations. This was when I was a young girl. I went to get rations with my mum in those days. Kids playing round camp, and all our dogs, donkey, camel.
