Past exhibition
Short St Gallery presents new work from Rene Sundown and Yatjiki Vicki Cullinan in, Palumpa Ngalimpa - The Two of Us. Using the language of paint, Palumpa Ngalimpa follows Rene and Vicki’s continued exploration into their knowledge of land and connection to their ancestral country; located in the remote Anangu Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara Lands in South Australia.
Yatjiki Vicki Cullinan’s sublime expansive paintings are a combination of landscape and representations of the skies and stars. Alongside fellow Anangu painter Rene Sundown, Vicki’s award-winning artwork has made her one of the regions most recognised artists. Rene Sundown’s highly regarded paintings combine a subtle palette and delicate sense of movement to create breathtaking artworks that capture the beauty of Australia’s desert terrain.
These breathtaking and ethereal paintings can be viewed in our gallery until August 3.
