in the east Kimberley, WA. The large water holes are natural springs surrounded by ant hills, a large hill and spinifex clusters. This Country was created by the Flying Fox in the Dreamtime. Peggy and her mother grew up walking across this Country collecting bush foods with lamboong until her people were forced to work on Newry Station. Even so, this traditional knowledge and knowledge of this Country was passed down to the artist who continues to pass on her knowledge to her children and grandchildren.
