Patsy has painted the country surrounding Ruby Plains Station, Patsy was born in the bush there. This is river country, where bush foods grow in abundance because of the rich and fertile lands. Ngarlpurantji (passionfruit), ngarlukurtu (coconuts), yupali (bananas) are a particular favourites of Patsy's, they grow around the waterholes and springs. Patsy says that a long time ago elves looked after this land.
In this painting, Patsy has depicted a ceremony that took place a long time ago. Lots of people came from many different places to share song, dance and culture.
