In the shape of a lamboong (carrying vessel) Peggy depicts bush tucker found in her country in the east Kimberley, WA: Gerdewoon (boab nuts), Mejerren (black plum and Daloong (green plum). Peggy and her mother grew up walking across this Country collecting bush foods with lamboong until her people were forced to work on Newry Station. This traditional knowledge and knowledge of Country was passed down to the artist who continues to pass on her knowledge to her children and grandchildren.
