In this painting, Angela has depicted her Country. The different colours and designs represent variations in the landscape. Angela depicts the Minyma Mingkiri Tjuta Tjukurpa (small female desert mice story). The mingkiri are pregnant and give birth to many babies, then journey to the surrounding rock holes in search of food and water for their young. The dotted lines represent travel paths as the mice journey for water, the circles represent Kapi Tjukula (waterholes) where the mice stop and rest along the way. Mingkiri is the Pitjantjatjara term for the various species Of small burrowing mice found in the desert where they live. A small number of these species have pouches like Kangaroos. Traditionally, the mingkiri were dug out of their burrows by the women, to be cooked and eaten.
