Nerry Keme (Namuno) Papua New Guinean, Ömie, b. 1975
Nerry is the daughter of the Paramount Chief of Ömie men, Willington Uruhé. She grew up immersed in her culture with its rich heritage of tattooing clan insignia on the skin, known as sore. She has mastered these traditional designs, working over the surface of a nioge (barkcloth) with her spirited filigree style.
