Lajarri is located south east of Bidyadanga in the Great Sandy Desert. Margaret says, "Lajarri is my traditional country which is south east of Bidyadanga where I live now. As a child I travelled with my parents across this country. We travelled to Jirndajiri, it is where my mother's uncle died, and my grandfather was a bush man. It is a special place." This work shows all the tali (sand dunes) and underground yinti (creeks) that are typical to this landscape. Additionally, there is a lot of junbi (tall grass) in the tali (sand dunes). Margaret has also painted the jila (living water) and warla (mud flats) of Lajarri.
