Angkaliya Nelson Australian, Pitjantjatjara, b. 1969

Angkaliya was born in Ernabella mission and grew up in Amata, South Australia, where she married with two children. In the late 1970's she moved west to Pipalyatjara, near her parent’s country with her family and brother, Sean Williamson. She is a highly skilled weaver and Tjanpi artsit and woodcarver in addition to her painting, telling stories of the Seven Sisters and Mamungara.
