Grace Spencer Australian, Warlpiri, b. 1975

Grace Spencer is the daughter and granddaughter of artists from the Spencer Family of Yuendumu. Her aunts Winkie, Isobelle and April all paint together at Tangentyere Artists and Grace decided to join them here.

 

Grace has painted all her life, sometimes helping her father Andrew Spencer Japaljarri to paint. She lived in Yuendumu all her life until moving to Alice Springs to support her aunt in ill health. Grace never married and has three kids and one granddaughter.
