Eileen Bray Australian, Gija, b. 1950

Eileen Bray is a very well-respected language teacher and translator in Warmun Community. She has been involved with the Gija language program at the Ngalangangpum community school in Warmun for many years. She has assisted with many publications that have involved Warmun and Gija language. Her traditional country lies within Purnululu, also known as the Bungle Bungles. Bray takes this country and its Ngarrangkarni (Dreaming) stories as the subject of her work.
