Andre Tipungwuti Australian, Tiwi, b. 1975

Andre was born in Pirlangimpi; Andre moves between the 3 communities of the Tiwi Islands, Pirlangimpi, Milikapetiand Wurrumiyang. He works at Munupi Art when he stays in Pirlangimpi. Andre is an artist who express himself and see the world around him changing rapidly, while at the sametime wants to keep the Tiwi culture strong in the modern world. Andre likesto paint designs about the Kulama ceremonies, as well as his own creative designs inspired from the Tiwi culture.
