About Kuniya Piti
This is the kuniya (carpet python) country from Papulankutja (Blackstone in Western Australia). The kuniya was living in the rock holes and travelling over the country. The lines represent the tracks he left behind in the sand. This country is my grandmother's place, kuniyaku ngura (the pythons home)

The Woods family collaborative consists of Elaine Woods (daughter of the well known artist Maringka Baker) and her daughters Janice, Julie, and Venita Woods. The group is showing huge promise with their only completed work being acquired for a major Australian collection.
