About Patanjarr
Warnampi (the watersnake) was waiting in a rockhole at Patjarr, when a man came to get water from the rockhole, Warnampi surprised the man and swallowed him up. Warnampi then travelled around the country, down to Tjinjirra, across to Warburton way and then out Blackstone way. Then after travelling around for a while he came back to Patjarr way and vomited them up, to make a big pink lake, the place known as Patanjarr.
