About

Dulcie grew up at Glen Helen Station west of Alice Springs. She was born in Alice Springs. Her father worked asa stockman on the station. When she was six she moved with her mother to Trucking Yards Town Camp in Alice Springs so she could go to school at Traeger Park. She lived at Trucking Yards Town Camp until she was a young adult when she moved to Yarrenyty Arltere Town Camp. Dulcie makes strong personal work, both in her soft sculpture and print-making. She is also a language teacher and as such has participated in the films made by Yarrenyty Arltere Artists both in front of the camera and behind the camera, helping with language development, translation and ideas.Dulcie is a important member of the Yarrenyty Arltere Artists, bringing strength, kindness and culture to all that she does.
